It’s the most wonderful time of the year. In Korea, Christmas is a day for friends and family as well as a time for consuming entertainment be it Television or music.
Here, we have chosen our favourite 25 songs released from the world of K-pop ranging from first generation bands to songs released as recently as 2024.
Out of a list of 50 classic Christmas songs, we could only pick 25, so for those of you wanting to explore more, check out our compiled playlist of K-pop Christmas songs here.

Roy Kim – It’s Christmas Day

There are few voices in Korea better than Roy Kim. Known for his angelic vocals, the musician has had a successful career featuring on some of the biggest OSTs and appearing on some of Korea’s biggest singing competition shows; there aren’t many people who don’t know Roy Kim.
Released from the infamous year 2014, “It’s Christmas Day” is a perfect ballad and break from the other releases in this advent calendar. Typically a power vocalist, the song takes a more simple ballad approach filled with raspy vocals and a powerful instrumental. The music video shows Roy Kim playing the piano and guitar; the song again shows his genius and talent.
It is a surprise that the song hasn’t been featured as part of a Christmas movie or drama; however, with Roy Kim’s talent, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this man on an OST for a Christmas-themed film or drama in the future.
