It’s the most wonderful time of the year. In Korea, Christmas is a day for friends and family as well as a time for consuming entertainment be it Television or music.

Here, we have chosen our favourite 25 songs released from the world of K-pop ranging from first generation bands to songs released as recently as 2024.

Taeyeon – The Magic of Christmas Time.

Some artists have more recognisable vocals than Girls Generation‘s Taeyeon. Already featured in this list as part of the Girls Generation sub-unit TTS’s “Dear Santa“, the singer would see Christmas success once again through the form of her 2017 EP ‘This Christmas – Winter is Coming‘.

An 8-track EP, the song is most known for the brilliant vocals of Taeyeon. The album comes as the perfect example of a ballad featuring two incredible songs, “This Christmas” and the B-side song “The Magic of Christmas Time“.

Straight out of a Disney song, “The Magic of Christmas Time” is the focus of this advent calendar. A sad but beautiful song, it is known for its soft and angelic vocals, and it is a huge surprise that it hasn’t been featured in a film or TV, especially given the fact that the song is in English. The song is great for anyone looking to find a softly spoken Christmas song or is still yet trying to get into the Christmas spirit.
