It’s the most wonderful time of the year. In Korea, Christmas is a day for friends and family as well as a time for consuming entertainment be it Television or music.

Here, we have chosen our favourite 25 songs released from the world of K-pop ranging from first generation bands to songs released as recently as 2024.

Fifty Fifty – Winter Glow

As Christmas nears, things are starting to hot up in the K-pop world, with more Christmas songs gaining more traction, replacing the standard K-pop all year round. Today, we dive into another of those releases.

Part of a two-track single, ‘Winter Glow‘, consists of two love songs released in English and two completely contrasting musical styles poised to reintroduce the group and their abilities successfully.

“When You Say My Name” is a heavy ballad track accompanied by a heavy piano instrumental. The song was already known to fans when performed in America as part of the group’s US tour.

Full of lyrics of eternal love and the feeling of finding the right person, the song lyrics are just as beautiful as the member’s voices. With perfect harmonisation and stunning vocals, the song is a great example of Fifty Fifty’s new members and talent moving forward. Let’s just hope this is the start of a new musical direction for Fifty Fifty and something we can see more in the future.

“Naughty or Nice” into our B-side, and we get a more traditional K-pop song and what you would normally expect from Fifty Fifty with a more pop/jingle tune from Fifty Fifty that just completely exudes Christmas.

Overall, both songs’ variety provides a great insight into Fifty Fifty’s ability as musicians and is the perfect introduction to those who may not know much about the group’s reintroduction and rearrangement into K-pop.
