As we officially say goodbye to summer and hello to Autumn, in this article, we break down events from the world of Korean cinema, music and culture to keep an eye out for this spooky season.

London East Asia Film Festival 2024:

London’s premiere Asian film festival, London East Asia Film Festival (LEAFF) 2024, will return again for its 9th edition. Showcasing some of East Asia’s most promising directors, LEAFF has a long reputation for highlighting some of South Korea’s best films.

Spanning 12 days, the festival consists of a grand opening and closing ceremony, which last year saw a wide range of actors and directors in attendance, as well as showings and exclusive Q&A with the directors Chung Ji-Young of the movie ‘THE BOYS’ as well as Concrete Utopia’s director Um Taehwa and star actor Park BoYoung.

With tickets on sale now, the festival is a perfect opening for the season of the film alongside the wide showing of Korean cinema at the BFI and London Korean Film Festival and is a must for all Korean film enthusiasts.

K-pop UK National Competition 2024:

After a long process of applicants and performances, the Kpop UK National Competition will officially see the end of its 2024 competition after months and hundreds of applications. October will see the official end, where the UK’s best K-pop performances will compete in finals, including dance, freestyle, choreography, and vocals, to determine who is the best.

Hosted live at the Rose Theatre, the competition is a must for all K-pop enthusiasts and those looking to find the next great K-pop prodigy.

B.I Hype Up Tour:

Starting his European leg at the end of September, October is a busy month for the former iKON star as he makes his second European tour in two years after his Love or Die tour, which saw him get raving five-star reviews from sites such as Rolling Stone UK.

Following his Asian leg, the tour comes after the news a week ago where it was announced that B.I would be performing at the K-Town Festival in India this winter alongside the likes of CHEN, XIUMIN and BAMBAM.

Hosted at the OVO Arena Wembley B.I looks to join the likes of NCT DREAM, IU and The Boyz to perform at the iconic venue.

DPR The Dream Reborn Tour:

It was not too long ago when it felt like all of the Korean music world’s dreams had come true with the announcement of the DPR Regime world tour, which saw fans across the UK rejoice as the collective announced a three-day multi-city stop which saw them perform in Manchester and London.

Now they are back, set to perform at OVO Arena Wembley. The three members look to rock out London and once again show their incredible musical abilities in a must-see concert for 2024.
