With the last couple of weeks of summer left to go, it has been a busy summer filled with incredible events for K-pop fans. September looks to be the perfect end to a busy summer, with many of K-pop’s most successful acts looking to have their summer moment and make some everlasting memories before the school year fully sets.

Twice ‘Ready To Be’ tour

The growth of K-pop has seen the rise of bigger venues and arenas, from K-pop acts selling out small venues within minutes for several years. It has been a pleasant change to see iconic venues like the O2 step up and become one of the premiere K-pop venues. September is the perfect example as they look to host three separate events over 5 days.

Their first concert sees female idol sensations Twice head to the UK for the first time as part of their 5th World Tour ‘Ready To Be’ across two days. After an extra day was added due to the demand. Tickets are still available to see the JYP supergroup on the official O2 website.

(G)I-dle ‘I am FREE-TY’ tour

One of the most interesting and unique girl groups in the K-pop industry. I think it’s safe to say everyone has a soft spot for (G)I-dle and their incredible discography and concept.

The group quickly sold out OVO Arena Wembley for their first London performance, with only a few official resale tickets available. It is set to be a packed-out classic to what is set to be the start of an incredible European leg.

ESEA Culture Festival

The Korean Cultural British Exchange (KBCE) have always been at the heart of promoting Korean culture and entertainment in the UK. Whether it’s through collaborations with Korean and British exports, educational posts on their website and social media or holding events. They have been at the heart of the Hallyu Wave in the UK. Not only promoting Korean music but also food and history as well.

Now, in a weekend full of various events celebrating Korean music and culture, the KBCE are working as part of the ESEA (East and Southeast Asian) organisation to help host various events representing Korea. Whether it’s seeing the incredible Pianwooo perform on the main stage or K-pop through the K-pop flea market, BTS’s 10th-anniversary RPD and celebration of the Autumn Moon Festival. There is something for everyone.
