Every year on August 19, photographers and people worldwide pay respect to the amazing work professionals do in capturing the beauty of everyday life. In today’s article, we will pay respect to the beauty of photos taken during concerts taken by myself that hold special meaning to me. Be it a beautiful edit or one that captures the essence of a concert special. Sit, relax, and after this article, take a moment to recap your favourite concert moments.
February 6 2023 – Epik High ‘All Time High’

A photo that perfectly encapsulates an incredible night. What makes this picture unique is the fact that even after 20 years, Epik High are still big kids living their dreams as musicians giving their all to their adoring fans.
The crowd reaction shows how much they love the hip-hop trio, with everyone from all ages crowding around the 43-year-old rapper. The photo shows just how relatable and adjustable the band are and how famous Tablo himself is still after all these years.
As a fan of his music, writing and ventures into media, such as his old radio and podcast shows. It is an incredible sight to see someone you admire so much draw all of the crowd’s attention. Definitely making this a special moment and experience.
July 31 2023 – Moseley Punk Festival – 18Fevers:

The most recent of all the photos taken, this was a special moment for K-pop Bangsong, having been our first official artist to be interviewed as part of the show. The still relatively newly formed Seoul death disco punk band headed on their first UK tour alongside established act Rumkicks. The two headed to Birmingham halfway through their tour in a Punk Festival featuring the two.
These pictures show the crazy nature of the band as they stood out in a star-studded line-up. Performing even better live than their studio releases, their energy captured the crowd in an incredible set hosted by real rockers.
October 11 2022 – W24 in UK TOUR:

2022 was W24’s year. After performing in the UK earlier that year, their stock reached new heights after the band appeared on Great Seoul Invasion, one of the show’s most successful bands.
In the band’s second appearance in October of that year, I achieved my first-ever press access for the concert. A special moment this picture shows everyone in a small Birmingham venue focused on giving their time and attention to not a K-pop act but rather a Korean band and one who before that year, had arguably not been that famous. The enthusiasm and joy on the members’ faces captured in the picture make for one of my best ever captures, and in the end, edits thanks to the incredible Chiara Fulgoni editing ability.
31 July 2022 – MIK Day 2:

The UK’s first-ever K-hip-hop festival MIK saw acts from across Korean hip-hop join together, whether its legends Epik High or up-and-coming stars such as Jessi. It was a great star-studded lineup, with each different act upping the ante. These pictures show the contrast between the day’s biggest star Jessi and the biggest surprise of the day Dok2.
25 January 2019 & 12 January 2020 – DAY6:

Two very pictures from moments in time. How can you not look back at your first-ever K-pop concert? That is what DAY6 was back in 2019, seeing my favourite Korean artists in my first-ever concert.
Taken from seats, which I think shows the start of what people expect when they think about concerts. In comparison to standing in the VVIP section a year later.
The photos show two sides to DAY6, from their energetic rock style in 2019, fresh off the release of “Shoot Me.” And 2020 revelling further in their success. The picture is even more special now looking back. Seeing four of the members sat on stage whilst Wonpil addressed the crowd in what is to date their last European tour.
As they say, a picture says a thousand words. And whilst it can absolutely feel crucial to be a part of the moment watching your favourite artists. It is also just as important to create your own memories, and photos might be the best way of doing this writing this article, I have been reminded of some incredible memories and moments from concerts that had been at the back of my mind and have been a pleasure to look back upon.
